Doesn't Goku suffer from beaten-husband syndrome with his wife 'Chi-Chi'? Couldn't stand her. And I could barely tolerate this show because of the endless filler and soliloquizing during the 'battles'.
It's old school slapstick. DB was originally a martial arts comedy. There's still some of the old stuff in it. It's haha this super powerful dude still let's his wife boss him around (even though he regularly ignores or corrects ChiChi in serious matters). It's like Ranma being fast enough to throw hundreds of punches in less than a second but also allowing Akane to slap him. It's just japanese slapstick
He also regularly gets beat up by Bulma. I remember one part in Super when Goku hired an extra-dimensional assassin to kill himself for the novel challenge, and when he was constantly amped up from the anticipation he dodged when Bulma went to smack him ,and she was surprised because he's never defended himself like that from her before.

Yeah, but in today's war on men in the Western world, it's a form of toxic representation.
No. I'm not a subjectivist. It's what it is
