Wrong on all counts. Give me an example of conservatives accomplishing anything important and not related to Israel in the past year. Trump doesn't count as he's not a conservative and never will be
Years ago in High School, had a fantastic political science teacher
He would be called based today (would also never be hired being a white male). Caucasian, in his 40s, devout Catholic
Was also a football coach, students loved him
He had a Socratic teaching style
I memorably recall one student in the class, super liberal girl, she was the protoype of things to come
She got into an argument with him early on in the school year about Immigration
Her argument was the usual shitlib concept of infinity migrants and what about empathy
He let her go on for a bit about "lets turn bombs into bowls to feed the hungry"
At the end of her rant, he asked her
"I see you're very passionate about this. So what are YOU going to specifically do about it?"
She fired back with a bunch of hypotheticals about what should be done, he cut her off
"I'm not asking what you THINK should be done. I am asking what actions you are going to demonstrably take to make these things happen"
She didn't have an answer.
He left it at that, (and his point was not embarrass her)
He segued into a discussion on objective political action requiring organization, policy agenda, donor funding, getting in contact with actual policy makers and representatives and time invested.
It was educational.
I think back to that conversation. When you see people constantly up in arms about the Current Political Thing giving hot takes and what they wish would happen.
"I see you're very passionate about this. So what are YOU going to specifically do about it?"
It's funny that they so often take that as an ad hominem, or "whataboutism," when it's very core to the argument. They'll get super offended if you ask what they're doing about their own passionate beliefs.
The point isn't you can't hold those positions, it's just how are they being applied. Are you actually doing anything, or just trying to force your ill-conceived ideals onto everyone else, when you don't live by them?
They're the ones saying there's an issue with society. I want to see how they're applying that in the small scale, before I listen to them on the bigger one. Especially if the core demand is some action from me, or my tax money and government.
Also, I wish they were capable of logic, because we do so their policies being applied; in liberal cities, in liberal states, even in liberal towns. It's not making things better, and is in fact making them significantly worse. We've seen what their "empathy" accomplishes.

Virtue signalling and purity spirals aren't concepts the Left invented and own, its just as much of a problem right now with our side as it gains power/prominence.

Most of the Republicans aren't conservatives either...
Again, you're using Ted Cruz as an example of all "conservatives" being traitors.
I just think there are better focuses, when the Democrats exist. The Republicans/conservatives suck. The Democrats actually want to destroy America, and have done a pretty good job of it, at that.

Time to quote a tweet I once read...

Wishful thinking is meaningless.
