The mother was quite based too.
Not only did she fake being understanding on a call with the pedo to keep him on the line so the FBI could catch him and recover their son, after this happened she told Gary:
"The least you could have done is let me drive you there!"

Modern mothers would hand their kid to the rapist as a sign of solidarity with a “victim” class. Women are entirely socially dependent for their moral framework, it’s why they have such crazy extremes from Asian tiger moms to trooning their own kids if they don’t kill them outright.
