SecState says Israel's actions were unilateral. This is Netanyahu playing politics against Trump.
Sure. I'm not clear on how true that is, but it could be fully true that Israel didn't alert us prior to, like, 24 hours before. That's fairly consistent with their history. On the other hand, I wonder if they recognized that the US wouldn't stop them, so they took silence as consent and did it anyway.
Trump already posed on his own platform that we helped this.
