It's almost as though this woman has had her staff collect feedback/survey info and took a stance based on what was most popular and why. Some people would call that flaky and ingenuine- and it IS, she IS a politician, it IS grift under another name- but I think that's basically the best you can expect from a policitian under the circumstances. She took a stance against israel based on popular data. Good on her. I will bear that in mind the next time she pisses me off.
That's literally her job as a politician. It's to uphold her constituents positions and not her own. The fact that you're complaining about a politician acting as they should is hilarious
That was my point and it was not a complaint, just an honest bit of praise and critique.
Populism is not perfect and viewed through a certain lens it can be seen as dishonest to run under a platform you dont personally believe in. Optimally I would like a politician to diehard agree with me rather than only agreeing with me circumstantial based on polling. The general idea in representative democracy is that the election is the polling and the politicians are diehards in the positions they were elected on. Reality is much less than optimal, so I dont mean to be complaining (looking a gift horse in the mouth) when they do get it right. That's not my intent. Good on her, really.
