Trump willingly and aggressively helped authorities during investigations into Epstein. Banning could be seen as a token CYA gesture (and Epstein was seen back later briefly), but actively helping the cops look into someone isn't something you do unless you are damn certain it won't blow back on you.
Trump has to be in the file because he had to be cleared, like anyone else in any other investigation in this country. And we have more than enough confirmed evidence that he was cleared than we do almost anyone else.
I don't recall exactly, and its fucking impossible to get any straight info on the topic whatsoever any day of the week. But I remember he himself called the investigators and offered to both assist and give them as much information as they wanted, which is a move that only a man with a clean conscious and decent morals does.
Or a really really stupid man trying to play double triple agent to throw suspicion off themselves, but with how much pressure there has been to nail Trump they'd have caught him doing that.
