If it isn't the big portion sizes that Americans eat that is the problem, then why do Asian Americans have much lower rates of obesity despite living in the same country? (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

its to do with the low portion sizes that they eat.

No, that is what has to do with the fact that they're all friggin tiny. Because their race went through thousands of year of malnutrition and adapted to that reality.

But their low obesity rates has nothing to do with genetics

Metabolic rates are heavily influenced by genetics.

Seriously why is it so hard for people to admit that eating too much is bad?

No one has a problem with admitting that.

We have a problem with you ignoring the content of the food.

I don't ignore the content of the food. I simply point out that Asian Americans live in the same country and eat the same food as other Americans and yet have much lower rates of obesity than other races in America. No i don't accept the "its just their genetics" arguement. i believe they simply eat less.

I don't ignore the content of the food.

Yes, you have been doing nothing but that for both threads.

live in the same country

Uh huh.

and eat the same food

They don't, it's that simple. Your average Asian family eats much, much more homecooked meals than the rest of the nation on the whole.

Meaning they aren't consuming nearly as much overprocessed poison.

i believe they simply eat less.

This is you ignoring the content of the food again.

Asian family eats much, much more homecooked meals

This one i can agree with . But i still stand by my belief that their homecooked meals have smaller portions sizes than what other races eat in America .

And you are still ignoring the content.

Thanks, handshake incel who thinks that porn is necessary for society because otherwise men would rape everything in sight, but I think I can safely discard your opinion.

Going through thousands of years of malnutrition doesn't make you less likely to being obese, in fact its more likely to make you more prone to being obese easily because the body would be trained to retain fat in order to keep going longer for when there's no food around.

Yes it does. They evolved to be smaller, more compact, smaller breasts, weaker bones, everything.

That's why they are little. That's why your average Korean man is the size of a child. Because their entire race subsisted on about 900 calories a day for three millennia.

The Guardian made an entire article saying that the reason Indians have a diabetes problem is because of the 31 famines that happened under British rule which turned them "starvation-adapted" by developing a tendency to generate and store fat instead of burning it off.

While the Guardian was just blaming White people as usual, the idea that going through famine would make people more prone to obesity because the body would want to store fat more, makes more sense than the idea that going through famine would make people less prone to obesity.

The Guardian

Is not a credible organization in any regard.

Indians

Have a genetic lack of self control.

Nor is one generation comparable to three thousand years.
