The Wii U disaster I think was caused by inadequate online features, inadaquate hardware enhancements, and failure to properly indicate the wii u was a new console and not a sega 32x type add on/mere controller.
Also the generally poor selection of games. Was there even a Wii U-exclusive Zelda game? It just seems like there wasn't enough justification to push people into purchasing a new console.
I haven't looked much into Switch 2. Is it like the last version of the 3DS they put out; a newer, better version of the Switch with more memory and better performance with which you can still play all your Switch games, or is it actually a new console that will have a whole new library, that's incompatible with the previous one?
It's basically the Wii U to the Wii. Improved hardware and new games being released for it specifically, but also backwards compatible with Switch 1 games and software, with a handful of exceptions.
Alright, then. Chances are that I won't purchase it. I'm a bit interested in the upcoming Donkey Kong game, because I loved DK64 as a kid and it never got a proper sequel, but that game alone isn't enough for me to spend several hundreds of dollars. Not to mention the time sink.
I genuinely wish switch 2 repeat the Wii U disaster. Nintendo is long overdue for another wake up call.

Hmm. Thanks for the reply.
