I'm surprised they wrote him well. I cannot say that what he says or how he reacts isn't completely understandable and relatable.

But maybe that's the point; show women this, coach them about exactly what to expect, and give them a bunch of canned responses to deflect rational behavior.

For decades (((media))) has been brainwashing women, and weak-willed males, into believing normal human behavior is irrational and wrong whereas utter degeneracy is to be celebrated.

The social engineering comes by way of the outcome of the argument, where she's the one who storms off, making her look like the affronted party. His character accurately identifies her as evil. The problem is that there's nothing to negotiate with her at that stage and she can't be shamed - he should be the one walking away upon realisation. As you say, this amounts to a demonstration for women in her position, to seize the initiative in the form of victimhood and turn away in anger when called what they are, in the hope of being chased or supported.

Having said that, she's playing a dead eyed psycho with a double-barrelled first name. 15 years ago the audience would be obviously expected to side against her absurd caricature. The writer/director could be a cultural subversive supporting the caricature that women have actually become, or could just be a sane person behind the curve.

Edit: oh, never mind, it's the show 'Girls' and was created by Lena Dunham lmao. She is all in on the woman's side and this is literally a training demonstration, possibly even based on life experience although that doesn't bear thinking about for more reasons than one.

When they see normal as bad, they can write a really normal person and not realize everyone that is also normal sympathizes with him. To them, the woman here is their normal. They simply see good as evil and evil as good. See Isaiah 5:20
