I'd think the matches are swipe backs. So two thousand showed some interest, 1,200 went on to chat to some extent, but only one actually resulted in a date.
That doesn't sound right. The percentage of right swipes that turn into dates is in the single digits for non-chads. There's no way a guy could only get 1 right swipe out of 2 million and have that swipe turn into a date. It's likely the number of right swipes he got over those 5 years was in the triple digits and only one of those turned into a date.
Edit: Okay, I looked at the picture. That's a lot more in line with what I was expecting. He swiped right about 2 million times, and about 2000 of those swiped right back (a 0.1% match rate). He talked to about 1200 of those and only 1 resulted in a date (a little less than 0.1%), which went nowhere. So yeah, less than 0.1% of 0.1% of his swipes resulted in dates.
I posted my edit seconds before you responded lol. I didn't read the infographic until after my first response since I usually don't look too closely at Twitter pics posted here (considering how many troons are in those pics that's probably a good thing).
The right swipe means they are interested, correct?
Yes. He was intr in 2 million people but only one swiped back at him

Amazing.
So it wasn't looks it was total lack of game.
I bet most of those were chicks selling their OF.

2k into one date, OP read the infographic wrong.
Matched with 2000 women, chatted with half of them, then bombed. Looks weren't his problem, it was being lame.
