They (the protesters and leftist professors) generally consider Jews to be white and that Israel is a white colonialist state, and they hate it because they are white oppressors.
All of them? Probably not, because "all" of anything is pretty rare. I'm sure you can find some that complain about Jewish supremacy as well, but the vast majority are firmly on the anti-whiteness side, not the anti-Jewish side.

And he's a jew so perhaps that makes him more brave to call out his own and he's already better than most anti zionist jews who try to redirect the blame to Christian zionists or call israel White supremacist.
