Yeah. I'm a viewer (one of the "honorable chatters"). I played Rockay City after watching her, finding a few things in it I thought would interest me enough, and even got to play alongside her a few times. Was very disappointed to hear about this, uninstalled it, etc., with 60+ hours into it.
They're now trying to hide the negative reviews. Seriously, the game itself was so mediocre, but she loved it so much, and it honestly was sold really cheaply, that it seemed like a great value. According to her, more copies of the game were sold on Steam WITH HER AFFILIATE LINK than not. And most of what she did for them was absolutely FOR FREE. There was even talk they'd make her an actual player character skin, that's how important she was to their marketing. And they dropped her, because a fucking tranny psychopath had a bone to pick.
I'm not a big VTuber guy, but have heard of her before, and always in hilarious/based context.
Good on her for carving out the niche of ESPECIALLY based VTuber. She's just spot on on so much, and it's hilarious to hear that coming from the mouth of an anime fox girl.
I do feel bad for the people who liked the game, as this was a massive betrayal of gamers...but on the other hand I'm happy to see them standing up against this nonsense. Doesn't look like Gay Corporate is winning this one.
Also...it's nice to see a story that is so utterly in our wheelhouse. This whole saga was MADE for us. Degenerate tranny VICE journalist goes after based gamer, game company goes after based gamer...gamers win?! It's a return to our roots!
CBRC is and always has been a knockoff Payday 2/3, and the only real draw it had was "it's like Payday, but less janky and funnier." Now that the devs have shit on their biggest cheerleaders, I hope their ship sinks.
I'm still wondering what kind of budget it had to get the likes of Hollywood actors to star in it. I suppose that was just Epic Games throwing money at them though (She'd always tease EGS "Thanks for beta testing Crime Boss!"). Michael Rooker, Vanilla Ice, Danny Trejo, Chuck goddamn Norris, and so on.
CBRC was Epic jumping on the back of what was at the time a dying prey. Overkill/Starbreeze/WhateverOtherName were reorganizing every other month or so, had cut off support for Payday 2, and Payday 3 was looking like it was going to be vaporware. CBRC was intended to be a blend of GTA and the Payday franchise to siphon off players from both to an Epic exclusive.
