I'm still wondering what kind of budget it had to get the likes of Hollywood actors to star in it. I suppose that was just Epic Games throwing money at them though (She'd always tease EGS "Thanks for beta testing Crime Boss!"). Michael Rooker, Vanilla Ice, Danny Trejo, Chuck goddamn Norris, and so on.
CBRC was Epic jumping on the back of what was at the time a dying prey. Overkill/Starbreeze/WhateverOtherName were reorganizing every other month or so, had cut off support for Payday 2, and Payday 3 was looking like it was going to be vaporware. CBRC was intended to be a blend of GTA and the Payday franchise to siphon off players from both to an Epic exclusive.
