Afrikaner friend is posting about how families leaving South Africa for the USA look like evil rednecks and obviously stupid. Other friends are chiming in how Trump is sending away Afghanistan refugees and that they're the wrong color, and that's why.
Then the English friends are posting about how Afghanistan being a terrible place and sending people back is a terrible thing. Meanwhile South Africa is a great place and no evil horrible thing is happening.
It's been going like this all day.
This has been my issue with the Christian religion. Catholic prelates, for instance, seem completely unable to contend with the fact that there are real opponents to Christianity and they will do anything to win. The Bishops don't get there is a modern attempt to extinguish the religion through Marxist means and that its more insidious than feeding Christians to lions. Even if you ain't Christian, the lack of response to these attacks on western culture aught to be concerning.
I've got a long rant about the state of 'modern' Christianity in my head, but to cut it down a far bit, my personal theory is that the majority of church leadership is very well aware of how dangerous organized young men can be, and so work to gentle them at every measure.
So they're more focused on defusing what they see as the danger inside their house, refusing to acknowledge the savage outside the door.
I ain't Christian, and it's obvious that Christian sentiment for martyrdom, guilt, and shame is being used as one of the most effective weapons against it.
It's wild that Bishops think there can't be attempts at other ideologies to exterminate them. See: "The Early Muslim Conquests" by Kings & Generals. Much peace
The lack of understanding is so outrageous, I think that these are atheists rather than Christians. I think that people like the new pope are literally frauds.
