How much of the Tesla did they disable or flat out remove? Because crushing a giant lithium battery isn't a good idea even under active demolition conditions, let alone a PR stunt involving a tank.
A tank which will have significantly greater emissions than the EV it just destroyed. But hey-ho, climate change and other important messages only matter when they carry political and social clout aimed in specific directions. Suspending them for the newest $CurrentThing won't surprise anyone here.
Metal and plastic debris everywhere. Oils and other lubricants like lithium grease leeching into the ground. They also have a regular 12V battery. A bunch of coolant. The tires are toxic.
Anyways.
So good thing they went out to the middle of a beautiful and idyllic field. Would have been a shame to crush that on a lot designated for crushing these things. Elon wouldn't have "felt" it as much if they did that.

They might have destroyed it and caused the environmental damage, but it's obviously Elon's fault because it's a Telsa.
