Don't buy what you see here for a second, people. Bait-and-switches are real and they're fairly common, and in light of whatever cultural shifts are happening (or perceived to be happening in these Trump 2.0 years), they're likely going to be employed more often to trick anti-woke into purchasing woke propaganda.
You're the first person to recognise this in this thread.
The trailer is a marketing pivot from Take-Two. They know their audience, and they know they need to move copies. They also want to push "The Message".
How do you do that? Put on a trailer that looks "based" and "red pilled".
Zelnick knows how to read a room.
They showed all the parts that made the game look masculine and like Jason was the lead. Keep in mind you could do the exact same thing with GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2 -- taking the most "based" parts of those games and stringing together a two minute promo trailer that seems righteous. But Red Dead 2 was Rockstar's most woke game, and they pushed quite a few liberal lefty elements that players had no choice in diverting from (only being able to kill the KKK, Arthur purposely berating and degrading the former plantation owner for having slaves, forced to help the suffragettes, siding with the Indians, etc.)
Unfortunately, I think most people will be lured in by GTA VI's veneer.
