I am a free speech absolutist. But certain speech does come with certain consequences
"I am functionally retarded and have no idea what the words I say mean"
'Consequences' are exactly how speech is policed and made not to be free. You can't magically real time chat filter people's voice IRL, the only way to prevent people saying things you don't want is to threaten such 'consequences' that no-one dares say it in the first place.
Saying you're a 'free speech absolutist' and tacitly allowing every kind of speech control short of physically gagging people is a special kind of dumb/malicious. I don't even call myself a free speech absolutist, because I do believe in punishments specifically for fraud and slander, but I'm still mad at this fuckwit.

It's not cancel culture, it's consequence culture! (smirks in Levar Burton)
The only thing that ever makes speech “unfree” is consequences. A bullet in the back of the head is a consequence. A prison cell is a consequence.
