I think it's more than just greed, I'm sure he knows full well what happens to CIA assets that are no longer useful. As long as the war continues he stays alive, as soon as it's over....
The longer the fighting goes on the more money he (and his puppetmasters and co-conspirators) gets.
Additionally there is a very real possibility that Zelensky gets assassinated by his own people when this conflict ends.
As his only supporters are those that are corrupt, who will likely vanish into the shadows with their ill gotten gains and abandon him, and those that are the extremists that believe the BS he spews.
The moment the war ends he loses any and all support he could ever have. The anti war group (a majority in Ukraine, even in the areas not aligned with Russia), hates Zelensky for his blatant corruption, and for using Ukrainian people as cannon fodder. They will not turn around to support him, not after all the extreme measures he did.
The true believers and zealots will turn against him, because he "didn't do enough."
And the puppetmasters and cronies grifting off the war will dump him for no longer being useful.
I give him less than a year the moment the conflict ends.
If I had a nickel for everytime someone said white people will totally rise up and assassinate a dude who is killing off all the said white people, but then didn't, I would have a depressingly large amount of nickels. Dude, I really wish that is true but I think the Ukrainians will just have the majority of their men get killed while Zelensky flees somewhere. Maybe he gets killed by the CIA later, maybe he gets off scot free. The Ukrainian women will (best case scenario) get taken by Russian men. Worst case scenario, they will continue to wander around cluelessly till they die off too.
Keep in mind, Ukrainians have very recently assassinated several people that were deemed their political enemies. So they already do believe in the usage of such methods so much so that they actively employ them.

ironically, his best chance to survive this is to get captured by the Russians and spill the beans. not saying its a good chance but the alternatives are worse.
