I don’t think so. Mods don’t have nearly the reach that most enthusiast-level gamers think they do. The vast majority of people play games - even famously “mod dependent” games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls - entirely unmodded. The download numbers for even the most popular mods are dwarfed by overall player numbers. Mods just aren’t a big deal for most people. And I say this as someone who games exclusively on PC and aggressively mods almost every game I do play.
Unfortunately Bethesda's remake was first. If Skyblivion was first the Bethesda's remake would have been another Concord
