If you're that afraid of being confronted by one of your constituents, then you shouldn't be in public office.
If women in public office by default need to be protected from the men they represent, then women shouldn't be allowed in public office.
Precisely this. If your identity prevents people from publicly criticizing you, then your identity doesn’t belong in public office.
