I think that's actually why Alex Jones sometimes get genuine information.
People who know that stories will be buried if the go to the media, know that Alex Jones is crazy enough to report it, not give them up as a source, and doesn't care about reprisals.
It's kinda like when the movie Men In Black said the National Enquirer was one of the most accurate journalistic organizations. If you had a fucking crazy story that was true, couldn't be linked back to you, and would get published regardless of the consequences, and WikiLeaks doesn't exist. Well, low-reputation news outlets aren't actually a bad idea.
