It's got plenty of uses, industrial lubricant, gun oil, wood preservative.
Just don't eat the stuff.
It isn't a very good gun oil.
You can burn it instead of diesel oil, with only a few teaspoons white spirits as additives.
That was one of its original purposes apparently, at least that's the fudd lore, until they discovered you can use it for cooking oil after WWII
