They're acting like counterfeits are a new thing. The counterfeit market for everything (not just clothes accessories) has been rampant for years and it all comes from China. It's so bad that they countfeit things like Tylenol and send it to the US, pretty much any of those little 2 pack Tylenol you buy is fake and from China.

What happened is a lot of major companies realized they can't fight the counterfeiters so they joined them.
