I am sure it makes you feel righteous to say that, but it isn't true.
There are fucking hundreds of ways to score deep, wounding hits on Beanie Man's credibility. Lying just makes you a liar.
Tim licensed one of his shows to another media company. I don't think he knew that the money was Russian money. He didn't run cover for the Russians as a result.
If you have any proof, then present it. Otherwise just know that you are damaging the cause you purport you are representing by coming across as someone who will knowingly tell lies to score points.
So, before your argument was that Tim was paid off by the Russians and was acting in their interests.
Now your argument is that Tim took money so a media company could license content that he had maid, and he should have found out that it was Russian money.
Okay. I agree.
But you are still a fucking liar. This is Mot t and Bailey bullshit. Tim was never a paid shill for Russian interests.
How about you take yourself off to Reddit and tell lies there.
I was just using what you said. You had said that he didn't follow the money.
Which is kind of odd. He's an investigative journalist.
You would think someone over there, because there's gotta be at least a dozen or two working with him, would have done the foot work on that.
He's broken stories that others didn't or couldn't before, so I just thought it was odd that he wouldn't run the numbers.
There's that whole thing in Ukraine right now with Russia, so I definitely would have checked in that line of work who is paying me.
Just so people like can't grab a gotcha moment like this, even if the phrasing I used originally made me partly wrong. He wasn't running cover for russia, he just didn't do due diligence.
Did you follow the story at all? Do you know any facts about it?
Tim licensed material to a media network. The network was comprised of people, some of who he had known for years.
Neither the media network or Tim received any editorial direction on the material that they made.
It turns out that one of the funders of that network was a front for Russia Today.
NONE of that is illegal. None of it resulted in Tim compromising his integrity.
It came out that Russia Today money was involved. During the following investigation Tim was investigated as a potential victim of a crime.
If you are maintaining that Tim should have done a deep dive on every person who licenses his material, then why? Why would he care what they do with it, as long as they don't cut it up or use it to misrepresent Tim. If Russia Today put Tim's unedited show on their network, who fucking cares?
What would matter is if Tim had been told what to make and what to say by the Russians. Got any evidence of that? You don't.

Is that all it was.
That he just didn't follow the money so it wasn't his fault.
And that's all it takes to make it okay?
I hope you never have to follow the money in your life.
