So they brought back dire wolves. Doesn't seem like a good move (twitter.com)

Yeah exactly.

Like I see the net positive this could be. It has immense value on returning necessary parts of the ecosystem today like the rhino and other endangered things.

But instead its gonna just be used to create predators that are locked in cages forever for no reason just because we can, and that's the best case scenario.

Probably cause it doesn't bring as much funding

Which returns us back to the literal plot of Jurassic World.

The plot of Jurassic World is directly stated that they stopped creating things accurately as they could to science to instead create specifically the super predators and beef them up for spectacle's sake in their zoos.

Its exactly why the entire plot of the movie happens, they eventually create one too big to control and contain.

Which is the exact thing I am afraid of them doing in this case. Its one thing to bring rhinos back, its another to bring back megafauna even if the megafauna will absolutely bring in 1000x the funding.

Jurassic Park is far more grounded than that kind of lofty "playing god" type of fuck up, as it only goes wrong when a retarded fat man sabotages everything at the worst moment.
