Well, yes and no. Multiplication is a bitch.
In terms of emissions per tonnage mile ships are actually pretty efficient and OTR trucks are godawful terrible. But if we wanted to really kill emissions we'd get rid of air travel.
Instead, the global elites (who are telling how how dire the situation is and insisting we need to live in mud huts and eat ze' bugs) are cutting down many square miles of the Amazon rain forest to build a new road so thousands of people can fly halfway around the world in private jets to meet to tell us we need to change our entire way of living in order to save the planet.
I have nothing but scorn for people who can't see right through this shit.
