Isn't it odd how we don't have records of his life before or after his stay in japan, all we know is he arrived to japan thanks to jesuits and was sent back to the jesuits after Nobunaga's death. Furthermore, it seems jesuits were only interested in writing about Yasuke when he was in japan 🤔
And only the Jesuits ever bothered to write anything about him. Oda Nobunaga never wrote anything about him at all, despite writing haikus about everything that ever happened to him including the day the strap on his favorite pair of sandals broke and making Yasuke his sword bearer and a feature of his court.
