It's kind of boring how this board/community/subforum is just a general social commentary space for shit that has nothing to do with GAMERS RISING UP, like WTF does a White-ish looking American delinquent in Singapore in 1994 getting 4 caning lashes have to do with any current-day things other than arbitrarily bringing up George Floyd in 2025?
It's because so few places like this exist online where discussions like this can be discussed relatively freely that a generalist approach serves it better than pigeonholing the discussion to an event from a decade ago already extensively covered.

I know that, but what the fuck purpose does this out of-context YouTube comment where we don't even know what video it comes from do to help communicate that coherently? Showing this YouTube comment randomly on a KiA board seems useless.
And I could tell that originally c/KotakuInAction was the general "GamerGate/anti SJW gamers" board and c/KotakuInAction2 was where people from that crowd would be more encouraged to talk about specific politics, but "KiA1" died off and no longer has any new posts since a few years back.
I know it is important to discuss these issues outside of "purely politics" spaces, I know it is important to "radicalize" gamers to literally rise up in other areas, but I don't see how shouting into the void randomly without context helps, especially when there is an excessive amount of this material when browsing on this board. But hey at least I got two people upvoting me, not including myself. I don't have myself upvoted here.
