Any way the TERFs will hurt trannies will be by putting harder to remove literal DEI shit into laws and policies, and just making sure the female portion specifies "no trannies."
Any amount of letting them fight is us saying "woke shit is fine, trannies are the only thing I care about." They are Radical Feminists first, tranny haters second and their only value is in their institutional power is far greater than ours to make the Intersectionality be constantly infighting.
Everyone is misunderstanding. I'm not saying specifically help them pass their agendas, I'm saying let's let them help us pass our agendas.
Don't go out of your way to help TERFs, agreed. But if what we're doing anyway helps TERFs, we should still do it, because it's what we want to do.
This is where you are misunderstanding me.
Almost anything that helps them makes us worse, period. Keeping trannies out of women's sports just returns us to "wasting half the budget on women's sports because they must exist even if no one cares." Defining genders along gender lines just reinforces their belief that "femininity" is divine and makes them special.
If in our path to destroy trannies we end up ever in a position where it also helps them, we need to rethink how we are doing this and regauge our approach. Trannies are a fraction of a percent and a social contagion, if not for the media propping them up they'd be a nothing burger and something you could fix by talking to your kids. Feminists are half the population, always a threat, and impossible to budge once they get in.
The literal only reason anyone would ever side with them against the Trannies is because they are still falling for "woman cries, shut down everything" manipulation. Feminists are showing their dominance over you by you even thinking the trannies are a bigger threat in any way, in any country, at any time.
Including that they created the tranny menace, are still responsible for it continuing and will do so again if not curbed.
Ah, good counterpoint. Not sure I agree, but it's certainly more leaning toward that side than any common ground we might have (which again, is completely different on ideological grounds anyway), so point well taken.
It's also just fucking cringe. We care about the trannie issue because we care about reality. But if I have to hear one more "conservative" "influencer" talk about how important fucking women's sports is, I'll lose it.
I do think it's important, to some extent, in school and maybe college. Sports are fun and important, and I do think young women should have the chance to experience that, and they can't compete equally with men, obviously. But the idea that professional women's sports is some big important thing is a bit much, yeah.
Eh. But it is divided like that. Men and women are different. And, yeah, they'll whine and take that to mean they're special, and that's annoying. But, I still prefer reality. Again, men and women are different.
By 'them' do you mean trannies or TERFs. Because I certainly don't think identifying and dealing with trannies helps them...at least as an identity group. It might actually help them live better lives by less people embracing trannydom to begin with, actually.
But it's the same root. We need to deal with both. And, yes, a big part of that is calling out the feminist menace..
Strong disagree. Again, it goes back to us looking at 'siding with' differently. I don't side with the TERFs. They're terrible. But I can be on the same side with them coincidentally on this issue. Doesn't mean I'll take their opinion into account, doesn't mean I'll sway my own stance for their feelings. But I'm likewise not going to change my view just because they also don't like trannies.
Not a bigger threat, but perhaps an easier one to deal with. And one that does need to be dealt with.
That's one of my big problems with all this. The "Return to sanity/normalcy/tradition" is just returning to a world where Feminism is the top of the totem pole instead of the trannies.
I'm happy to provide for women's sports in schools and local places, even if its not equally providing money like men's does. Girls do deserve that chance to be active and part of something.
The problem is that we haven't unraveled that from all the feministy "they must also be given all the same funding, pay, and scholarships as the men whose performance actually pays those investments back."
We are. One is incomplete without the other even. Neither is truly superior because of that fact, even if tit for tat I think men bring more net benefits.
The TERFs. If our goals or even paths ever align with theirs, I believe the chance of it being the wrong path is highly likely.
And if we strength one to kill the other, then we cannot. And I personally think the tranny one is easily defeated no matter what if we try on a societal level (overall no one really has been, that's why it seems so powerful). Feminists are already incredibly powerful and will never be easily dismissed (because women must exist in large numbers), so we should absolutely be giving that more focus and effort even if it means letting the trannies have small victories (because they will still end up being powerless and weak).
And my point is the fact that you don't find even coincidentally aligning with them abhorrent and a serious sign of issue is that they are women, and all those little pro-women instincts we all have are still working their gay magic, because if any other group was as awful and damaging as they have been you'd be rightfully changing course.
This isn't meant to imply its a you specifically issue. Those instincts are in all of us and always effecting everything.
I don't disagree with your premise, just I can't think of anything we're doing anyway that TERFs would support. The closest I thing I can think of is the Trump executive order on trannies, and I guarantee you they voted for the pro-tranny candidate because sacrifices to Moloch are more important to them than going after faggots in dresses.
Again, TERFs are not based. We can do our thing, and ignore them completely. I don't care if they support Trump, or trannies, or feminism, or whatever. Point is, their opinion doesn't matter, in either direction. They like something we want to do? Sure. They don't like it? Sure.
