A large amount of our government was involved so the FBI destroyed the files to prevent them being leveraged against the US through said pedos.
I think we've severly underestimated the extent to which the government is compromised and the FBI was involved obviously but the sheer numbers would cause an uprising and end the US as we know it.
Just think about the orgies and shit they have in Washington and barely try to hide it.

You're the leader of a town down in deepest Africa. It's like 1870 so you have rifles & stuff but not walky-talky's, Jeeps or helicopters. There's a big pride of lions, they've been eating your herd animals and you fear people are next. So you form a militia to deal with the problem.
Do you:
A) Charge at them deep in the jungle/savannah? Yelling so they know you're coming? Where they are at their strongest? They will scatter and if you press them, they will hunt your entire force until none remain? You might get half of them, that's good right? But your militia will be gone.
B) You set up watches and traps & pick them of one by one. Sure it takes time, and you may lose some animals & people, but once they're much weaker you can go after the main pride & knock them down to size, hopefully driving them from your lands forever. You set up some decoys & bait to distract them too. In the end the Militia comes home with some losses but lots of trophies.
Plan A has been the go-to for a long time in American politics. It's showy and gets attention, but it isn't very effective. They never follow things up with actual force. That's because neither side wants to actually solve anything, they both love the status quo.
Trump was like that the first term, he listened to some bad advice. Hopefully he is now a Plan-B guy and will make sure his underlings actually DO the jobs assigned.
Why are you trying to white wash this by making an allegory to hunting in Africa? You metaphor has almost no similarities to the current topic. You're trying to conflate unequal things, to provide yet another excuse for people that deserve none.

The metaphor is that the deep state is like a pride of lions: they're not going to obey to you, you cannot negotiate with them, they don't ever think like humans. That's what Trump found out in his first term. They've grown far to large & dangerous to allow them to roam free, they need to be dealt with.
To fight them you have to get them out of their territory to where you have the advantage. So Bondi has lured some them out of their hiding places, that's a good start. She got the head of the NY FBI office fired (resigned, or else), that's a step in the right direction. Hopefully she keeps the pressure on until the documents are all handed over or, if destroyed already, everyone involved is fire & charged with crimes. Or both!
I'm not going to run around with you in a metaphor, when the reality of the situation is very simple. You're just making more excuses for why Trump and his admin aren't properly exposing this evil and punishing them.
Also, Bondi just said they're going to redact the Epstein files for "national security".
That makes sense to me, no need to list the names of USSS agents assigned to (say) Bill or Hillary who went to the island on the job. Probably.
We'll just have to wait and see. If there's no big names (which we KNOW are in there!) released I'll be screaming as loud as anyone.
