Tucker doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He likes to visit Moscow and talk about how great the grocery stores are
EMC in 2022 (probably): our sanctions have ensured that Russian grocery stores are empty. We is winning.
EMC in 2025: OMG Tucker went to Moscow and pointed out that contrary to our claims, Russian grocery stores are actually pretty decent.
I saw a YouTube video, so judge the accuracy based on that, that all the boycotting stores are still there they just took down the signage and replaced it with genric signs and names.
All the "boycott" does is make sure Western corpos can't collect rent from Russia. Business continues as usual. Intellectual property rights are fake and gay.
This is true for brands like McDonald's and Starbucks. It's not true for most high-fashion labels, which are simply routing inventory from their Chinese stores to their Russian stores as opposed to shipping to them directly. This is true for all LVMH brands (Louis Vuitton, etc). So when the "news" says that China is buying more luxury goods than ever, they really mean Russia.
Imagine that... Russia, a country that is in the top 5 of arable land per capita are not starving to death. That's not including pastures for farm animals either which they could increase by a vast amount by simply deforesting a bit in the south west.

Can confirm this is how most of them are.
