I've never understood this. The obsession with "black women's hair" that they project onto everyone else makes no sense. It's okay to be a black woman and have natural hair.
Why the fuck are you gluing a muskrat to your brain?
The same reason the entire makeup industry exists.
Women are easily manipulated by marketing firms, media, and other women into thinking they are dogshit ugly and must spend $$$$ out the ass to even appear passable in public.
To the point that the effect penetrates their brain so deeply that men (the thing meant to be attracted) cease to be part of the equation. Their self-esteem becomes directly tied to buying and using these products and all the nonsense.
Blacks specifically became obsessive about the "only valid" choices to style their hair, and when those became outdated they had to be rid of them. Its why black men are almost all just bald or close to it buzzed by choice (since cornrows and jerry curls aren't fashionable) and why black women are in a fucking arm's race for the most ridiculous possible ensembles. Which cannot be done with their natural hair and requires weaves that are both not destroyed from products and stronger than hair itself to support the weight.
Black women specifically are also in a forever fight against Mixed Blacks. Because those girls can have straight, soft hair. Which is always is more attractive to 99% of people than the curly, lamb wool they have and we all know it. Which means they have to buy weaves to achieve that look to stay competitive.
Its an honestly fascinating piece of culture and history, that nobody but us racists can discuss because it says some negatives about blacks at times.
I think it's funny how virtually every woman drastically changes their natural appearance with make up. Someone told me one time: "Only three things are recession proof: booze, pet food, and make up."

Jordan Peterson's suggestion to ban makeup in the workplace, and the subsequent deer-in-the-headlights expressions from the women that listened to it, will never not be funny.
Its just the way it is, the same way that most men prefer boobs instead of flatties. Sometimes you are just born with a disadvantage in what the majority of people prefer.
Which is why the logical thing to do is, as you said, be a good person to overcome it. However sheboons are the opposite and the large portion of them are the worst people in existence.

A lot of them act like they will be shot dead in the street if they don't, even though a lot of men probably prefer them without (or a lot less).

That's mean. I don't think that kind of hair is that bad. It's just hair anyways.
I'm not saying I wouldn't prefer straight hair, but I'd prefer a good woman be attached to the hair, than vice versa.
