All that was said was truth. Henry is now at least bi and there is sexual possibility with Hans. The black dude exists and the dialogue about how women are treated better in Mali (the place where they literally eat women) is also real.
The only thing that would salvage that would be if the response to that lecture from the black dude would be sufficient pushback and criticism of his culture
I'm more upset that they made Henry bi. I liked the entire Hans/Henri camaraderie, it's something that a lot of guys like to have but modern media can't have 2 guys be friends without making it sexual. They can't understand that the fact that the possibility is there is enough to ruin it.
It's contextual. If you pick the correct dialogue options you trigger it. There are other gay scenes from what I understand, from NPCs that are not optional.
But the fact that the dialogue option is there is enough.
Even Bioware that had gay dialogue still made sure they had a character that was your buddy. In ME you had Garus and in DA:O you had Alister and I think there was this dwarf, I forgot the name.
