No, he never got slapped down for anything. He was welcomed back with open arms because he was part of the establishment and showed that there was no sense in keeping that line of argumentation.
He walked right back into his old job. There was no objection to the show he re-started. He is continuing to argue all his old positions and push all the same propaganda he always has.
He is the authority on the Left. He is the regime.
The word "Ivermectin" was banned on Reddit for a month prior. Arguing that Covid came from a lab was a banable offense, until that fucking night. I watched it happen, we were all here, there is no debate. John Stewart is an authority on the Left, and an authority gave permission for the Left to decide that "We were always at war with East Asia".

I'm not rewriting anything. You are. Stewart made his joke about the lab leak and then strangely dropped off the face of the earth for a few months. When he came back from his mystery vacation, he wasn't talking any more shit that would upset the establishment. I remember it like it was yesterday.

No he didn't. He just transitioned form one show to another because he was getting back into the entertainment field after having temporarily retired. Nothing happened to him. He was always part of the system. He was never an outside force.
