As something of a libertarian, I feel I have to defend them somewhat, by pointing out, basically by definition, that it's a very broad movement. Many claiming the label have almost nothing in common with the people I think represent it the best. A bunch of libertarians are retarded leftists, or the ex-libs who recognize there are problems...but still subscribe to 90% of the doctrine.
Plenty of libertarians realize that property rights apply to the nation, as well. If you should have the right to keep people out of your house, your government has a right to keep people out of your nation. There are libertarians that fully believe in America First, strong borders, all that. They even controlled the big L Libertarian Party for a time, before sadly being ousted by a pro child-transing faggot.
Too many libertarians do not realize, or will not admit, that the minimalist government and individual liberties they want to enjoy are only possible in a high-trust society. And a high-trust society is only possible in a homogenous nation.
And a homogeneous nation requires defensive governance. Which requires funding. Which requires non-libertarian practices.
Or a bunch of private citizens with guns.
