So I saw a game on Steam called Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, and it looked kind of fun. It had a demo, so I downloaded it to give it a shot.
Within the opening seconds of the game, you're told that the world is being threatened by "evil oil", and that the antagonist is someone named "Alien Musk".
I played it for like 5 minutes, went "Huh, this is kind of fun. Shame that they couldn't fucking help themselves but to shove political agenda bullshit into the game." and uninstalled it.
10-12 years ago these people all thought Elon and his "magical space car" were going to save us from "evil oil".
The Simpsons had him on
The Simpsons have had so many cameos I would not be surprised if there was an episode you and I were in and simply forgot.
And he probably will, despite their best efforts to stymie him.
unfortunately, a lot of people making games right now are terminally online.
Anyone that's made it to scored forums is terminally online tbh. Just saying
Imagine being such a newfag you think of it as "scored" instead of the .win site.
Legit didn't even register for me he was talking about this place until reading this comment.
Because we are one of the like 7 OG communities who have our own .win instead of being on the Reddit-copy/paste version like all the others. And, I believe, we are the only one who still uses it. The rest are either gone to another domain (T_D, Conpro), actually offline(Gavin Mcinnes), or just dead/abandoned (OmegaCanada, KIA original, Weekendgunnit). T_D did reform under a new .win but that was sometime later and I don't know the story there if its still associated with the place or not.
Everything else on the site uses the "scored" UI that is just a copy of the "new Reddit" one, with all the different subs being "c/XYZ" (including the current ConPro).
So the only way to even associate it with the name "Scored" is if you are so terminally online you actually go to c/Funny on this reddit knockoff website.
.win isn't much of a signifier considering anyone can ger a url like that.
If you are here arguing in a place with no larger impact on culture, no broad appeal that can change minds, and no way to end up here withiut searching for ot you are terminally online. I am postibg here arguing this point right now.
Imagine being so boring that you consider this anything more than a shitposting site, where you can sharpen your iron for the important real life actions and also get out of your system the need to scream "NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER" at non-useful moments.
Also a lot of us got directly linked here when we left reddit as they cracked down harder on us. If you had to search for it, that's just further proof you are a newfag and should stick to lurking.
go back.
to actually address your point, a fundamental difference between this forum and others is the fact that it's anonymous. we actively encourage people not to use their personal information, therefore separating the self from the internet.
A person who is terminally online has their identity directly tied to their online footprint. they live and breathe e-drama because it is life to them.
Don't forget to refund it.
It was a demo, I didn't pay them anything
Refund it anyway
He played a free demo.
Its got an insufferable quirky ha ha title and you are surprised its written with insufferable quirky chungus dialogue?
They write like retarded children
I played that demo and yeah, that was annoying. In general there's a plague of games with shit writing that don't even need stories to exist. If you have never written something that other people want to read, you're probably a shit writer and putting your writing into a video game isn't going to magically make it better.
Also, more importantly, I felt the mechanics and design of the game started to wear thin even before completing the demo.
It's in this Fanatical Bundle -but there's so much absolute shit in this bundle that I don't want to give my support to even if it's just a few cents each. "Eggwife" and "squirrel stapler" are more of that neon ironic dogshit that I blame on cruelty squad. "Sticky business" is just some sticker game but the entire trailer is LGBTQ flags. I'm kind of interested in Between Horizons but I think I'll just get it by itself - It's got quite a bit of diversity but it is a detective game where there are lots of character portraits that you have to distinguish so there's hope.
Oh dang, that looked like a fun one.
All I know about Yellow Taxi is it's Synthetic Man's GOTY, despite the woke writing.
