So I heard he's selling his IRL channel that he does livestreams from, not his regular one where he does 10-15 minute segments.
Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the IRL stuff the part that got in trouble for 'Muh Russian investment'
A little digging seems to be saying the it's the "Culture War" spin-off show being sold-- the very one Tenet Media sponsored. So yes, it's the Tenet media show, and yes, it's not his mainline show. Unless there's something tying the "Culture War" show to the IRL channel, I could see him holding onto that, too.
What this article also alleges (from a source that stayed anonymous due to fear of legal reprisals) is that Ben's Daily Wire is a 'silent partner' of Timcast. That's an interesting allegation.
But the article says entire Timcast operation?
It does. And I agree-- something's not adding up with the piece.
And that's where the questions start: How far do we trust the anonymous source? Is the writer's position tenable given the public evidence?
I am taking this news with about three Carthage's worth of salt; I also think that a piece like this is the only way we'd hear about a Daily Wire/Timcast silent partnership.
I'll be honest, it all sounds dodgy, from the Tenant Media parts of Tim's content being bought off by the Daily Wire just shortly after trying to subtly ditch one of their presenters and these are the parts that were hit by the DOJ after Tim said he was going to do legal action against Biden Administration.
To this anonymous source possibly being aware of how much of Tim's audience distrust the Daily Wire, this seems like a wait and see as they may be trying to bait infighting from our side.
Technically none of the youtube channels or casts who were involved with Tenet media are in trouble at all. The illegal wrongdoing was that the funding organization hid the fact that they were Russian when trade with Russia is forbidden under sanction. It's not actually illegal to take foreign money, just look at TYT who is basically funded by Al Jazeera and have been for the last decade.
