It's scary because there is already huge censorship in the vast digital libraries of the ebook stores. No one has the balls to just let books exist when curation isn't as big of deal like in a physical place like a library
I've said 1984 warned us about this so many times that I'll finally change the script a bit.

I think Brave New World might be even closer. No need to burn books when most of the plebs aren't even interested in reading.
