The suspect is at large, and is described as a white male wearing a cream-colored jacket, black face mask, black and white sneakers, and a grey backpack.
Who wants to guess the odds that the guy had a change of outer clothing in that backpack, and as soon as he got to Central Park, he changed, ditched his bike and old clothes, and is now out of the city?
Note that the guy wore a mask, and because he did no one has any idea what his face looks like, nor does any camera.
Damn that was 100% his specific target.
I shouldn't celebrate someone's death, but of all the things this is, surprising is not one of them.
I know you wrote this a day ago. If what they say now is true, it was a vendetta. Which I thought was the most likely the entire time. Boardroom hit is too Shadowrun. There was never a basis to think it was an organized crime hit, but those things are plausible. If he had any jilted lovers, they'd be the first suspect, and it never came up so.
Apparently he wrote messages on each bullet casing, something along the lines of deny, deflect, defer or something akin to insurance claims being denied.
Yeah that's why I think it's pretty clear it was a vendetta. Or -- someone on Fox News made a good point -- it could be a purposeful diversion. That is worth considering given how little we know.
