Just finished up the show, Colin Farrell was spectacular as an actor, but the wahmaning, victim writing, and poor story structure sucked the life out of the otherwise genuinely good parts. I don’t know if it was the female showrunner or writers or what, but you could have entirely removed the female “rival (but secret actual main character)” from the entire series and the show would have drastically improved. They had gold with a Colin Farrell playing Tony soprano trying to scumbag his way to the top and nearly half the series episodes instead revolve around a girl boss “finding herself” after being a victim. It’s so fucking tiresome anymore that something can be a solid 7-8 tv show if you just completely remove half of it because it’s female victim porn.

There’s clearly a white board memo at every major studio mandating that every new movie and show must feature 50% female representation among primary characters. These people literally cannot create a show about a male character without flanking him with equally or more capable female characters.
That is literally what ruined The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Half the film's runtime was unceremoniously taken up so a half-breed Jew could try to seduce the "evil" German.
The film would have been significantly better had she either been completely removed or had her role greatly reduced. We got to see so very little of Cavill and his crew compared to the secret agent wench. It was so frustrating. Even the black concierge was more tolerable than her, and at least his role made some sense.
