I feel like that's way too cruel. If someone must face capital punishment, then just get it over with.

I am amenable to this compromise as I think prolonged imprisonment is indeed inhumane and that the merciful punishment in such cases is to simply kill the irredeemable.

Public hangings, broadcast on every social media platform for all to see.
