My hatred of modern AAA protagonists comes down to this one simple truth: I wouldn’t want to spend thirty seconds in the same room with these characters, never mind several dozen hours.

This is what pisses off lefty devs. Because all of their quippy sassy kween characters are obvious self-inserts. Even worse: idealized self-inserts. And no one can fucking stand them lol
