And these are the people that are either shocked or angry when someone sees a show with a black lead and says “nah, I’ll pass”. In a sane world you’d think someone would have the guts to say “don’t you think people are getting sick of hearing about black racial grievances”?
Also I’ve dived more into anime/manga along with stuff from past decades to get away from people like her.
They're coming for you. There is no escape. They will find you and your hobbies, and destroy them if they can. Sad but true.
Nothing is safe. Godot drama being a perfect recent example. Game engines aren't safe.
True but as long as I can find back issues that’s a good thing. Also in my local area free over the air channels that show old content are popping up and very popular.
Fatigue. I’ve got girl boss fatigue. I’ve also got wakanda fatigue (which is when you’re tired of every IP retroactively installing new black characters as the real founders or secret kings of every fictional universe).
I have started calling it “the trifecta”. The hyper obsession with black//lgbt/strong female diversity. Also it seems like modern day prequels exist to show how a legacy character was mentored by a diverse woman.
In a sane world saying that wouldn't get me immediately ostracized by everyone I know and love, but this is the world I'm stuck in.
