RDR is already on PC via RPCS3. Why pay for a 15 year old game?
Also, Rockstar is working with Sweet Baby Inc on GTA 6.
No company that bends the knee for blm and lgbt queer shit gets my money.
Because it's gonna work better than through an emulator. Not to mention mod support (heh, as if r* would be fine with it...) and other pc thingies.
Honestly it runs at 60+ fps at 4K on a bunch of mid-high tier CPUs and mid+ GPUs now via RPCS3.
I don't see Rockstar porting any game that will run better on PC than the PS3 version already is. GTA IV for example was (and still is) a horribly optimized port.
Red Dead Redemption released a year after it and used the same iteration of Rockstar's RAGE engine as GTA IV. I actually wouldn't be surprised if RDR's port runs similarly to GTA IV.
Either way I'm out on Rockstar altogether.
I'm just waiting to see what bits and bobs they censored.
You can also emulate the switch version.
What is RPCS3?
A PS3 emulator that can run most games with great or nearly perfect emulation, and at a faster fps than the PS3 could, and it can render at 4K.
It can also run on Steam Deck fairly well now, but I haven't gotten that far yet.
Censorship or not I'm not giving R* my money
Haven't played it, anything they might censor, or update for "modern audiences"?
What about RDR 1 was woke? It's been a while since I played it so I could genuinely be misremembering, but overall it was pretty based from what I remember.
If there's been no talk of them updating the console games, why would there be any changes in a PC port?
Because they censored some stuff in GTA V post-release, so it's not too far out of left field for them to do the same for the RDR port on PC.
Don't expect the Viva Mexico scene to stay unouched
If there weren't enough reasons to be sceptical of enriching R*, the min specs for this clearly older game are actually higher than those for RDR2. To hell with this needless spec bloat.
Could play it on the xbox360 but never finished it. Certainly less detailed/freedom than RDR2 if I remember right but has been a while since I tried it. If modding takes off I maybe take another look at the pc version.
