If expressing reasonable opinions worked on these people, we'd do that. They made us escalate to death threats and psychological warfare because their community managers and social media people have to be defeated instead of reasoned with. If they chose to make good games instead of bad games nobody would get upset with them, and in fact we'd throw sacks of money at them like we did with Palworld and Space Marine 2.

They made us escalate to death threats and psychological warfare

I don’t believe they receive any notable death threats or “psychological warfare.” A handful, from a handful of people, who have no real intention of taking any action to follow through? Maybe. Enough to even acknowledge unless you’re putting on a victimhood show? No.

If (big if) they get any actual death threats from the more unstable autists among us, it's with the intent of trolling them into such a state of fear that they stop waging culture warfare and delete their social media accounts. Not because someone was big mad that they ruined his eagerly anticipated Assassin's Creed Shadows. That's the image the gaming press likes to portray - that gamers are racist manbabies who harass game developers because they had to look at a black man in their game.

Honestly take “death threats” with a MASSIVE pinch of salt, because these are people who believe “words are violence” 😒

I’ve yet to see a single modern game dev, community manager or voice actor ever produce even one screenshot/letter/email as proof of “death threats”
