AngryCops gets to claim credit for saying that the Beeper Attack was preparation for an invasion, as well as a mechanism to prevent air warfare. Additionally, Hezbollah is run by people who didn't get radios or pagers.
DC looks like they are getting their war, though it seems like Biden & Harris getting a peace deal for the election is now dead; and we are now moving towards a major regional war. Lebanon isn't just Lebanon, it's a vassal state of Syria. So this is technically a proxy war against both Iran and Syria.
I'm hoping for less than a million dead, and I'm really hoping we don't have to fucking directly involve ourselves further into another war.
To be honest, this is actually perfect timing for Israel to do this:
Hamas has been obliterated in Gaza
Syria STILL hasn't recovered from their civil war
Iran has too many issues to help directly anymore and between them and Israel is now a squadron of F22s
Saudi Arabia doesn't care as they're more focused on Yemen and Iran messing with their oil shipments.
Egypt doesn't care as they just don't want ANY refugees from the Palestinian areas.
Hezbollah has lost most of it's communication network thanks to the pagers attack and that's going to affect their logistics.
America is currently run by a weak administration that is trying to get another term.
If Israel goes all out against Lebanon, they'll win before Trump takes office. We've effectively had another 7 day war in the 21st century. The only one that COULD interfere is Jordan and that seems unlikely with no other allies to join them.
Agreed, the Israelis obviously planned this and took advantage of a closing window of opportunity. It's ruthless, but I can't blame Netanyahu for trying. Especially since he could be blamed for the October 7th attack in the first place, and he needs the political capital of a successful war to defeat the Leftist judiciary.
