Pretty much, the only reason we have a shot with Google, Disney, Microsoft and Amazon is because they're run so incompletely that there's a good chance they'll pull a Ubisoft and tank their own value.
Twitter USED to be that way but since Elon took over it's a lot healthier business wise by purging 80% of the 'waste' and slightly healthier overall thanks to community notes bitch slapping idiots constantly which is why the left is whining so much.
I'll disagree. We don't have close to a shot at those companies yet.
Their expanded ventures might be failing constantly, but their main monopoly is still untouchable and no competition can come close to it. And getting lost in details like Disney failing to make Morbillion dollars on their latest movie distracts from the fact that Disney is a name that pulls everyone from their childhood and they could tomorrow flip their script and go back to juggernaut status. If it all falls apart for them, all those companies can just go back to their central pillar and continue to be monopolies there.
Not to mention they are "too big to fail" and will get bailed out by the government if they tank like Ubisoft.
X is now free for rightists to bully leftoids, which is the reason it is hated by the left so much. It even got now banned in the Brazilian socialist dictatorship.
Except that Disney is slashing its workforce, dumping the prices on everything, and literally closing hotels in their park. If you’re not growing, you’re dying. It will take A LONG time for them to fold. But they will not flip the switch to not go down with the ship.
Yet they still own dozens of IPs that make up a huge chunk of American culture and nostalgia and have enough clout to put their worst slop in every theater in the world.
Assuming you are close to "winning" against them is making yourself less vigilant, that's how the human mind works. When the only reason they are struggling right now is self-inflicted. At any moment they could reverse course and go back to being unquestionably the top.
Them slashing everything down is them reverting back to the mean after a period of booming successes. Confusing that with "business failing, PANIC MODE" is the same trap their own Execs literally fall into that causes them to make retarded decisions like DEI hoping to stop that Line Go Down. Even if they are going well below their own inertia average, they can't be stopped as long as Copyright exists and "Too Big to Fail" is a concept.
