Yeah because humans are WAY MORE simple than people admit and once you ascribe a positive emotion with the death of others regardless of the individual in question, you behaviourally condition yourself to ALWAYS seek enjoyment from it.
Not to be too pedantic, but let’s say you have an evil neighbor. He murders kittens, tortures kids, and he actually chased you with a knife and a loaded gun a few times. Would have killed you if you weren’t too fast.
If that man died of a heart attack, I’m not allowed to feel relief? Not allowed to celebrate the removal of a danger and a stress to my life and wellbeing?
There is a line between what our enemies do and what we do, and that line is that I’m objectively trying to follow a coherent moral system that leads to human flourishing and the betterment of our souls, and my enemies are the opposite. If my enemies are ontologically aligned with evil, I can breathe a sigh of relief when they are no longer there to castigate me. It’s only a sin if we go beyond that, and I don’t think that has happened here.
You've changed what I said from CELEBRATING death to 'relief' which is far less.
You can feel a weight being lifted if someone malicious has died but you don't reveal in it, that's the difference since it's easy to get that dopamine hit from someone who you don't like dying. Look at how the left started with saying it's good a bad guy dies to current day justifying a random guy died because he was at a rally of someone they don't like.
They see killing their opponents as a moral good and self satisfying, if we are in a situation where our defence may mean their death then it's our DUTY to ensure our and everyone who depends on us survival, but don't expect me to pop champagne over that memory.

What emotion? I don't think there's any shame in having a feeling of relief from the death of someone that is trying to or actually doing you harm.

How do you think leftists BECAME leftists?

Well no, it was you who broadened your own argument from "celebrating" to "ascribe a positive emotion with."
