They aren't immune to the third amendment though. The owner has a case, if she wants to push it.
The third amendment is interpreted however the SC interprets it. There isn't enough case law on violations to confidently say that it doesn't apply here. I certainly wouldn't be betting that it doesn't apply.
It's definitely against the 4th Amendment
