If you don't like pork, there's always fish. The Japanese love their fish, so much so that they can taste if the fish has been previously frozen.
Japan is pretty much heaven from a food standpoint for anyone who loves sushi. I'm fortunate enough to live near a very good sushi place in the States that has good quality and price relative to most other places over here. But your average run of the mill sushi joint in Japan beats it considerably on both points. That shit keeps me up at night; I'd give so much to have that close by.
